Deadzone Campaign

Tom Vs Gary, Patrol scenario, 13 -13 draw.

Turns out big gribblies when smashed into other big gribblies just kind of stand around punching each other and nobody falls down. I slowed Gary down at the start with lots of pinning and picking up some intel, but he killed off more of my infantry while the objectives sat under monster piles scoring for nobody and in the end it was a draw.

Simon vs Gary: Scour 15-10 (Gary conceded at this point, due to work)

Gary found the Satellite Uplink Array, I got a Retreat....

20 - 5 loss to Jamie. Ambush scenario.

I made a few tactically dubious choices but also just couldn't get key rolls to go my way. Jamie had all 8 points of objectives at end of turn one so it was all over by end of turn two. My big gribbly didn't even get to reach anybody. Still good fun getting to charge a burning angry ape at his own mates.

A few key dice rolls changed the game - two which were at least 50:50 would have meant we got two objectives each at the end of turn one instead of me getting all four, with both rolls going my way. The simian brawler has had a stern talking to about beating up his mates instead of the oppositionā€¦ā€¦!

Simon vs Mike: Pandemonium

Well, that was unexpected! I was convinced Mike's Marauders would stomp all over me, but his inability to hit or save pretty much anything meant he withdrew at the end of round 3, having taken 5 casualties out of 9 models, while only managing to inflict a single wound on an Enforcer.

Score 12-4

Mike found a wrecked APC, I found a corpse.

You can probably count me out for the rest of the campaign as I won't be in for a few weeks and my heart wasn't really in it tbh (stoopid space dwarves)
