Steve and the Queens Campaign Logs

"And you're sure there'll be someone to stick in there?"
Steve cast his eyes over the girl "Yeah, sure Liz, we'll find some survivors in there for sure"
Vic grunted, and hefted his Axe. "As long as it goes down when I hit it, I don't care if it's living or dead"

The group stole towards the police headquarters quietly, only meeting one walker on their approach and knocking him down with ease.
Steve pulled another 2x4 out of one car, not great, but a weapon was a weapon. Liz was cackling as she was searching through one of the other cars, she triumphantly lifted some ammo out of a box and quickly shoved it in one of her pockets, he'd have to be sure to get that from her later.

Before he had a chance to shout over to her he hear a bang, a walker had hit one of the cars a bit too hard and the alarm suddenly went off. Everyone froze, waiting to see what would happen. The walkers looked up in unison and started to walk towards the car.

A smile creeped across Steve's face, perfect, he nodded towards Vic. Vic loped off quietly towards the entrance to the doorway, smashing a walker to the ground as he went. Liz headed over to the grounded walker and after a bit too much toying around eventually put it out of it's misery. Steve looked down towards the walker at his feet and caved its head in with the butt of his gun, as he looked up he saw Liz start to run towards the door. What the hell was she doing?

He moved towards her, cutting her off and talking softly to calm her down. She was having one of her moments again, her eyes had glazed over and she was hopping from foot to foot. He really hoped that Vic was going to make his way through the door soon, he wasn't sure how long her could hold her back.

He heard one smash as the axe contacted with the door, and then silence, complete silence, not even the groans of the walkers, the car alarm had even stopped.

Steve looked around, his focus taken away from Liz. He saw Vic stood in the middle of a crowd of walkers, his axe raised, ready to swing. Then, as if released from a spell the walkers moved forwards, Vic went down swinging and the walkers went after him, crowding around the now busted open doorway.

...

Hours later Steve and Liz returned, the walkers had cleared away and the alarm had thankfully stopped. They picked their way quickly towards the entrance and moved through the doorway.

"You bastards have come back for more have you? Well come on then!"

A figure lurched out from behind a filing cabinet, covered in riot gear, visor pulled over his face. An axe came speeding down next to Steve's foot, splintering the floorboards. Steve fell backwards, words spilling out of his mouth, "V, Vic? What the hell?"

The figure paused, pulling his visor up, "You took your time."

A success for Steve and his Queens, Vic got a little beaten up, but will live to fight another day.
Collected 3 x Supply Tokens and gained 2 x territories

Collected a 2x4, some ammunition and an empty box and bought riot armour and helmet

Steve walked into the opening, brandishing his gun and scanning the area, there they were!
His queens had been tailing this pair for the last couple of hours, they seemed to be heading somewhere and this group of cars seemed to be it.
Liz was starting to get even more fidgety, it was like she could smell the blood of this pair, the only saving grace seemed to be the lack of sleep she'd had over the past few days, it was making her slow, less likely to run off and do something stupid.
Vic and Liz started scoping out the area, taking down walkers and collecting a lot of loot, these two were good, they took down 7 between them without even breaking a sweat. Steve hung back and watched the other pair of survivors, leveling his 2x4 at a stray walker who came a bit too close.
Then he saw it, a chance to pick up even more loot. He barked a quick order to Vic and as the other group split up, Steve distracted 1 survivor by shooting at a nearby walker, drawing it into the now lone survivor. He fended it off easily, but as soon as it was grounded Vic and he barreled into the survivor, beating him into the ground and collecting the resources he had been holding.
Liz had been distracted by a few more walkers, but when she saw the body lying at their feet, a flash of anger came across her face and she fixated on the other survivor, crashing through the debris to reach him.
Vic hefted his axe and charged in as well, his feelings had been blossoming towards Liz, and it seemed he'd do anything to protect her.
Just as he reached Liz and the other survivor a stray group of walkers turned up on the scene, dragging Liz to the ground. Vic turned and began laying into the zombies, ignoring the survivor who crept away.
