Vanguard Campaign Discussion

Ok, so we can put all the campaign stuff here, such as who's in and with what force(s), and if there are any questions arising.

Players:
Ray (Undead)
(Old) Simon (Northern Alliance)
Dave (The Herd)
Tom (Goblins)
Brad (Nightstalkers)
Gary (The Brotherhood)
Trelliz (Trident Realm [is that the right name?])
Sven (orcs)
Charlie (Elves)

And first question:

For those of us that have forces what have expanded lists (cards or whatever), are we using them, or just sticking with the options in the book?
I honestly have no preference either way, just want to know (given my speed of model building) whether I should be prioritising certain figures.

I'm going to go with use everything. I had a look and the number of entries in each list is in the 8-10 range, with the factions officially released so far being on the lower end of that. Everything in the starter boxes is already in the list, so it is only the 3 models in the expansion set that are additions. Some of the other factions gained options in the warbands pdf.

Iā€™m going with The Herd (awful name).

If I pay the points, are people okay that my goblin rabble have spears even though they aren't modelled? I like to think of it as them throwing stuff from a distance.

Similarly is anyone going to have an issue with a leader being bought a crossbow when the model I have in mind doesn't have one modelled?

Be honest now.

My attitude would be, they can have spears as long as they all have spears. It's when there are identically armed models on the board and only some of them have extra weapons that aren't modelled that things get confusing.

Any plans for a structure to this or just free-for-all and trust in the underdog system?
