Scrappers Campaign

For any 'post-apocalypse' games we play, such as Scrappers, Gaslands, Mercs, Dark Future or others

Scrappers Campaign

Postby Dave » Wed Aug 02, 2017 12:00 pm

Looking to start a Scrappers campaign in the near future.

Provisional start date will be the 3rd September (so the first Sunday run club).

That gives 4 weeks to get to grips with the rules.

Current interest from:
Me
Sven
Tom
Mike
Darkson

If anyone else is interested let me know and we'll get a demo game sorted.

Commitment wise I have suggested, in order to try and progress the campaign at least a little bit, that a minimum of one game is played every two weeks by all of those participating.

Please feel free comment/add suggestions.

Cheers

I am all for this and have worked out my 750pt list and ordered some more models.

Are we going to worry at all about a who plays who schedule, or just randomise from whoever is available on a given night?

I would suggest the latter as the former has caused us issues in the past... But it will only work as long as people are wiling to accept that games will not always be 'balanced'.

Agree that free for all is much easier to manage. As we know there is a balancing mechanism within the rules so let's assume it is suitable.

What faction? What models?

Sons of Anarchy.

Big 4 armed Boss (Orruk Brute conversion)
Couple of guys with assault rifles (40k cultists)
Sniper (from the Reaper Bones pile, the woman with the ridiculously large rifle I used in the Necromunda campaign).
Scrap Hauler (a Reaper Bones peasant loaded down with gear)
4 x Squigs! (Kromlech Gnaws, running them as cheap mutant troopers with a natural weapon trait and nothing else).

Scratch that. List re-write required due to desire for a cyclops mutant with x-ray beam eyes!

Put me down as provisional until after we've played a few 750pt games and see how long it takes - there's no point in me playing if I can only complete a full game on my weekends off (i.e. 2 Sundays out of every 6).
I want to take part, but don't want to inconvenience everyone else involved.

Yeah there is loads of cool mutant stuff you can do!

Ok Simon, bring a 750 list on Tuesday and see how you get on.

Turns out I'd sold on the guy hauling the baggage from the Bones lot.

So just ordered this guy to be my slave scrap hauler:

And found my mutant cyclops:

The squigs:

For something that was meant to be just using existing figures I had around, I once again find myself ordering a pile of new stuff...

8-man (well, thing) list written, no idea if it's any good because I forgot so had to make it at work without the book to check traits!

Model-wise, will have to see what I can dig out in a hurry.
