But lost 2 guys in the post game bits

My Goblins beat Ray's Undead at giant capturing. The giant helped.

My elves beat Dave’s dwarves.

The elf wizard cooked a bunch of dwarves with a lightning bolt.
This pissed off the dwarves - so they hit the wizard in the face (killing him)
This pissed off the elves - so we killed EVERYONE!!!

(And I bought a war donkey)

I won vs Gary, but the scenario massively favoured a high model count and disposable models so I was at a huge advantage from the start.

I beat Dave in a very messy back and forth massacre. My Troll died so that was expensive.

Lost to Tom in an enjoyable game.

A shield breaker died but my healer brought him back from the dead, he now has nightmares about it.

Played Kill the Commander with Dave. After some brief discussion we decided that his Centaurs would try and clear the area out from my gribbly nightmare guys.

Which he did. And despite my best efforts I couldn't kill the tree either.

Played Charlie at Kill the Commander, and he killed said commander plus everyone else as well to utterly thrash me. And then the Troll died again.

A harsh but needed lesson in being a bit more tactical, remembering my own special abilities, and checking out what funky special abilities your opponent has before they get sprung on you.
