Not according to some of the fanbois online, you'd think a tape measure was the most unwieldy thing ever invented...

To be fair, I don't have a problem with the templates themselves, their will be times they might be easier to use than a tape measure, it the ridiculous thing of the shapes instead of distances.

Can we assume that there's now been enough protesting in his thread that at least half of us will buy it?

Definitely I won't unless we end up doing a campaign, in which case I'll grab the rulebook and rules for one of my existing 40k factions.

I see a benefit to the template, but the shapes aren't really a requirement. Except to make them sell because it ties into the rules...

This is weird

After reading the summary of how shooting rules will work and all the dice rolling, i thought that sounded like a lot of work - although it probably isn't in reality...
https://www.warhammer-community.com/202 ... irefights/

I then read the melee rules - basically the same system, just hit vs hit instead of shot vs armour - and thought that sounds cool
https://www.warhammer-community.com/202 ... kill-team/

to be fair though, the melee does sound like a decent system, and weapons having full board range (unless otherwise stated) makes sense.

It all sounds pretty reasonable, and those Kreig models are great.....

I wonder though is there room for ability progression of individual models? I never played KT before so not sure if that was a thing or not.

Cheers.

they have that in the current version, you level up your specialisms. never played a campaign of it though, just a few stand alone games.

If I ever make it back to gaming I'd be interested. Not sure when that'll be tho as we've got another coxlet on the way!

Congratulations!

On the KT topic, the newest post showing the latest innovation of replacing points to build a list with small riddles has me back towards meh again.
