Is KT still a likely thing when we get back?

Are people still interested in Killteam? My brain seems determined that rather than finishing off any of the various models I already have, what I really want to do next is pick up a box of Dire Avengers for some inexplicable reason.

There is a new edition coming this month, I won’t be buying it (never got the original) but I’d play it.

I do suspect it will go the way of most things, a few games here and there and then interest dies off.

As to dire avengers, maybe hold off as the completely unfounded internet speculation is that Eldar will get redone this year.

there was that dead eldar warrior as part of a base the other month...

Like Dave, i won't be buying the KT box, but i'd be up for games of it. Though 500pt 40K is basically hardcore KT so...

It's not a new edition I don't think, just updates for new models.

I figured Dire Avengers were a fairly safe bet as one of the few to have a plastic sprue. They don't look like they need an update whereas much of the line is indeed crying out for one.

I'm also not buying the new box, but obviously have a ton of models so could play if someone else had rules.

Apologies, it does seem it is just a new kill zone set using the existing killteam core rules rather than a new edition.

The Dire Avengers still look good to my eye so go for it.

Perhaps someone who actually played it would be kind enough to say if the game was any good.

Played a few games of it. Found the list building to be very restrictive, couldn't just pick 6 marines and chuck anything at them. The options are very tied to the actual box contents so customising scope isn't the same as say Necromunda.

Played fast and made sense as a mini 40K though. Can't fault the game itself.

I had a similar thought. The GW fail to win anything promo had me thinking about my eldar (will always be) that I got from Ray so I bought 10 old metal Dire Avengers plus a champion for the same price as the plastic box.

(Necro!)

New edition previewed over the weekend. No interest in getting it, but the new Death Korp and Orks look good. From the talk in the KT Facebook group seems it has bespoke movement templates (trianges, squares ans such forth?), and its just going to be the basic forces, no commanders or elites (quote "because they need to gouge you for two more books").

Would be happy to play a KT2018 campaign once we finish FG, but won't be getting the new version.
