And after last night's games thoroughly pissed off with Shadespire. :( Almost to the point of not bothering with it.

The disadvantage of an ELO system. If someone with a good score stops playing then not only does their score stay high, but they are locking away the points they’ve accrued making it harder for others to catch up.

Just shit games where both the cards and the dice went against, much like it has most SS games I've played recently.
Much like Gary feels about BB. ;)

I'm glad only one game makes me feel like this. Thankfully the social aspect has me coming back for more pain.

I did find that it is very dependent on getting the right victory card at the right time, but that is true of any game I suppose (dice rolled, flipped card, cast stones or whatever mechanic takes your fancy).

I’m looking forward to an Aelf warband being released.

I saw a table of various odds of success and found landing a hit to be a lot harder than your gut might make you think it will be.

Two dice on hammers are only a 54% chance to hit against one dice on shields.

4 dice vs 1 dice, twice.
Then add in Mike only rolling crits to defend.
Topped off by that stopping me from scoring any glory, meaning I couldn't use any of the cards I was holding.

Just two very frustrating games, which has been how my games of SS have been recently.

The second game was over by the end of the first action phase, and we could have called it there.

Okay 4 Hammers vs 1 Shield is 80% and you're okay to feel a bit robbed by the 4% chance to miss twice.

That said for the Blood Bowl fanatic to complain about being screwed by a bad dice roll... at least it didn't end your turn!
