Third attempt and I still cannot break this load out!
Getting closer but still it evades me.

First Frostgrave of the new edition and at first I couldn't believe my bad luck!
Then out of no where a complete change of fortune.

I have found out early how to beat Simon. Drop a Snow Troll in his set up, sit back and watch as it eats its way through his gang.

What school of wizards, any good moments, was it a campaign?

Come on, we’re having to live vicariously through you!

I'm running a witch and failed both of my animal companions which was handy as they they subbed for a snow leopard and a snow troll.
We had five treasure tokens and rolled four wandering monsters, other two were a pair of skeletons and a Wight.
Most dangerous was the two skeletons who dealt Simon the biggest blow by taking out his wizard.
I managed the wight by constantly pushing him off of a ladder while my apprentice did a runner.
Final tally I had four treasures to one and lost two soldiers, Simon was tabled (mostly by the skeletons and the Troll).
We decided just before we started that it would be a campaign to carry on through the pandemic but I think Simon may use the lockdown as a reset option.

Nice. Hopefully when we are all back in we can get the campaign going.

I don’t expect you’ve noticed much difference between 1st and 2nd edition as most of the changes seem to be campaign related?
