Isolation gaming

To keep us together virtually though we be physically apart, any interest in some online gaming?

A live meet up on table top simulator or something similar on Tuesday?

Or there's an excellent arcane wargame called Solium Infernum you can play by email. Hexes and demonic legions and wars and backstabbing and treachery.

This is the game website:

And this is an online game log to give you an idea how it can go down:

It's a long haul playing by email but I'd be happy to shell out for a few copies if we could get a game of that going.

I’m a Luddite with this kind of stuff. Can I play it on my iPad?

Also, what are people’s initial thoughts here? Are we talking no club for a month? I’m working from home pretty much exclusively now and I’m not alone, if I don’t get out of the house I’ll go crazy!

I hate to burst your bubble but these restrictions aren't being lifted a for a long time. It all depends how the case numbers go but I reckon it's going to be multiple months at minimum. At worst we're in this until we get a vaccine and that could be a year plus.

None of the stuff I mentioned is on iPad...

I was more enquiring as to what levels of risk people may or may not be willing to take. I appreciate we all have different lifestyles and family commitments and so most of us will impose a zero risk policy, and rightly so.

I’m under no illusion that this is going away anytime soon.

It might not come down to what risks we are willing to take. In Italy you have to actually be able to justify being out of your house right now.

Having said that, being sat at home on my own and seeing no one for months on end is going to make me lose my mind.

In France it's an on the spot £35 quid fine if you can't justify being out and set to raise to £125!

Wargaming is a valid reason surely......

As previously mentioned I’m a techno luddite, so can someone recommend me a budget gaming laptop?

Dave, unless I/the family catch it is be happy to meet for a game (flooding permitting), but guess it will depend on fees to the hall (plus I'm back on my working Tuesdays).
Plus whatever restrictions they're bound to bring in on being out & about.

Probably not worth trying to make any plans until closer to the day(s), given the fluid nature of the situation.
