From what I've read, that stuff is streamlined and simplified, not expanded.

I'm keeping half an eye but nothing grabs me to make me jump in yet. I'll let you guys be the guinea pigs.

For the most part it is. I think the core rules are pretty much the same, although scenarios have been changed a bit from what I've read. There is a new skill table though, and the experience/territory/injury system has been changed. Also, special operatives are a thing now, and we have no idea how they work. The new rules are definitely similar, but I would not say they are really compatible with the existing necromunda book. Someone needs to get hold of the new rulebook otherwise all we are doing is playing necromunda with some new factions (which we could have done anyway with house rules).

Yes, but they have no points costs. I believe they are hired via some system of things your earn from previous games, but without the rulebook we will never know how that is supposed to work.

Separate rule book is "coming soon" - not sure if that means a book or a pdf.

I'm sure they'll have the book for digital sale pretty quick.

Rulebook preorders are going up on 22nd April, but preorder period is a few weeks rather than the usual 7 days, so we are probably looking at a mid/late May release. I'll likely buy the iPad version when it's released and will be happy to give the game a go at that point.
