Necromunda - Pre Orders 11th November

For all Necromunda, both new version and old

Because it’s not a combi weapon as you know it, it’s a home made bodge job that is incomparable in reliability to the one you’d find a space marine captain running around with (hence the chance for it to run out of ammo/jam/blow up!

I hope so!

To be honest, from the stuff I'm reading (from people that are getting/got the game) for everything thing I think I'll like about the new version there's a thing I don't like.

But I'm an old grognard who's happy with original Necromunda. ;)

Newnunda, as we shall call it for the sake of this post, really is nothing like the old game, which we shall call oldmunda for the sake of this post.

Like you I like Oldmunda but you just have to look to the posts on this forum (and the dedicated yaktribe community) to see that, whilst loved, it is a deeply flawed game.

I won’t be so arrogant as to propose that one is superior to the other (afterall I’ve only had the Newmunda book for one afternoon!) and nor will I poopoo people’s love of Oldmunda however Newmunda is a game that just happens to take place in the same setting as Oldmunda and that is pretty much the only comparison that should be made between the two.

Orlocks are up on the Warhammer Community site. I like the tommy guns. The harpoon gun is a little odd for the setting.

I’m a bit disappointed it’s a sausage fest again. I’d hoped launching with two opposed mono-gender gangs might mean the others get a bit more of a mix.

The harpoon gun may seem like an odd choice, but they have existed in the setting for a long time, although in the past they were restricted to Scavvies.

Looking a bit closer at the figure it looks like the harpoon is explosive rocket tipped. Which would be (a) very impractical and (b) very 40k.

Can't say I like the look of them. Used to quite like the orlocks. I do like the scum however.

Will be a bit miffed if you need to buy half a dozen books to get all the rules mind! Still not sure about buying in.

After the success of Blood Bowl, which is the same (3rd add-on book due 'soon') I'm afraid that's the new format. :(
Won't be long before dodgy PDFs appear.
