Yeah the range and the ammo (more reliable) should be accounted for in its cost. As you said let's play some games and see how it goes.

I'll take some pictures and send them to you later today. If you fall on the side of Goliath then I would consider selling them to you for £15 or something.

I would definitely take that offer!

Cool. I'll still send you some pictures of the book so you can be sure otherwise consider it a done deal.

Just noticed they included the new stub cannon weapon rules even though they aren't on the equipment price list.

Longer range than a shotgun and str 5! Though assuming new 40k rules that's still a 3+ on toughness 3 isn't it?

Yes that's right, however (and remember I haven't actually read the rules!) as I understand it each flesh wound reduces a model's Toughness by one, so that strength five will be handy for wounding models on a 2+ once gangers start taking damage.

Have they said anything about doing Juve figures? Or how to distinguish your figures as Juves?

I believe Andy Hoare GW man has said juve figures are coming (along with weapon upgrade sprues). In the interim I guess you can narrow it down visually as they can only take pistols and ccw.

Just seen someone say that they've started(!) their Escher gang with combi-bolters/needlers - not sure I like that, seeing as combi-weapons are meant to be rare across the Imperium. As Rare Trade (does that still exist?) not a problem.

Yes there is still rare trade (and the roll is modified by your Reputation). That type of weapon are only readily available to Eschers, they are trying to differentiate the gangs more with this version. It’s an expensive weapon though so there are considerations to be made (you can get three Juves and still have change for the cost!)

I get the house list (though I didn't like it in 2nd ed, and I don't like the idea of it now) but a combi-bolter? I mean, combi-weapons are rare in the Imperium, needlers are rare in the Imperium, and now a random grunt in the Underhive can have them?
