I'll be preordering this as long as I don't spend too much on the vanguard Kickstarter. I assume we will get a campaign going shortly after release?

I'm sure I'll be in for whatever we do. I'll wait to see how the gangs are differentiated in the rules before I pick one. The website seems to imply they have quite different available gear as well as skills now.

Have been info gathering, even watched a live stream from warhammer world! (#supergeek) and Iā€™m liking this more and more.

Loads of stuff out there now but some pros and cons from me (all first impressions of course)

Pros
Progression is a spend XP to earn X increase of your choice (with choices being a variable XP cost).
Supplementary non combat crew members such as a halfling cook and friend doc.
Territories are still in
Controversial one but I like what they have done with the leader/champion/ganger/Juve variable progression systems.
Alternate activations but with the potential to activate upto 3 models in a ā€œonerā€.

Cons
Rumoured release schedule (1 gang per quarter starting Q1 2018)
Itā€™s going to take me ages to build some suitable terrain!

I will likely order the box and the gang war supplement to start and go from there.

Watched beastofwar demo game at Essen. Like what I see.

Plenty of deadzone scenery. Depending on campaign and 3D rules might need more scatter.

Well I took the plunge and ordered the Underhive box, the gang war book and the card decks.

Quite excited now.

Not 100% sure but from what I gather you can pay for them or get them at the start of a given scenario, they do little things ( and are similar to the Shadespire ploy cards I think), stuff like last gasp (lets you make an melee attack action before being removed from play) and hidden vents (lets you go through walls etc).

They are also given to underdog gangs for free depending on the difference in gang ratings.

The Escher sprue comes with 4 power swords! Exotic stuff not so rare now then?

From what I've seen there are a lot more differences between the gangs, so Escher might have easy access to power swords but find it hard to get hold of shotguns for example. I'm not sure how I feel about this in terms of the background because they are clearly now getting their gear from difference sources which feels weird, but it should make gameplay more interesting.
