If it helps your decision making we are at least 7 weeks away (I want to play everyone at Frostgrave at least once) plus we need to do the campaign practice night to iron out any issues with the rules.

7 weeks to actually finish painting my army.
Its only been decades since i started collecting.

If Vanguard is in, Northern Alliance.
If KoW only, not in.

I'll be Forces of Nature with either Elves or Undead alliance.
How many points will we need?

I’m not sure, I will look to the more experienced KoW players for guidance but my rough thinking was kingdoms start with 2,000 points, minimum army size 750 (too small?) max 1,500 (too small?).

Noting that you can earn gold and can buy more units/armies as the campaign goes on.

I’d definitely be up for anything Vanguard based. Full KoW, I’m still slightly skeptical I have the focus to put together a full army, but I’ve given in to weight of numbers and ordered the book. Could probably proxy most of my Nighthaunt stuff as Nightstalkers.

It might be worth setting minimum size at 1k to avoid the weirdness of the <1k army construction rules which allow any number of troops resulting in a 999 point army potentially being a lot better than a 1k one. Either that or just use the normal army construction rules regardless of size.

Well that gives me a target to work towards to get my army painted!
