Characters are very different in KOW compared to what you know. Combat ones not great, wizards very important. Undead are movement buffs. They cannot get many magic items either.

human ones seem worth it and standards but to just get the inspiring rule seems a little overpointed.

Ok that was dangerous. Even though I lost both games I've done nothing but think how I can change the list ready for next time. I had forgotton how annoying these large games could get in that aspect.

Still not really found an anti cavalry option though. Cavalry vs cavalry just becomes who gets charge first.

I think I would still like to go nature and try and make some homemade elementals as models I have looked at have been expensive and small in stature!

If you're getting into this I have some cheap armies for sale, namely Elves, dwarves and humans, not mantic models though.

Gary,

How you getting on with those 15mm guys? I was looking at the Ral Partha website again and they do unit deals of 40 models for £16.

If decide to go done the 15mm route let me know as I need to place an order for a few more and can add anything you want to my order (or vice versa if you prefer).

Cheers,
Dave

They look good, how did you get on with painting them? Was there a particular one you think looked best?

I had no problems painting. Black undercoat and dry brush techniques. Of the three the 'champion' was best. The copper stone hair was a bit flat and the third was 90% armour. Mixing works so definitely interested in the offer. Just need to see how many. :-)
