Gah! Drinking a Potion can replace the compulsory move action.

I asked a question on FB (after Gary asked me, not my game vs Tom) and the author replied.

Seems an invisible soldier can't stop you from picking up treasure (which is not RAW).

Opens up a kettle of fish, as does that also mean models behind Fog, or behind a wall (which he hasn't replied to yet).

Probably one to make a houserule for, for future campaigns.

Pretty sure that’s how I’d always played it. Can’t have the benefit of both. He can move to intercept (becoming visible as he does so) though.

That explains my surprise when you made your captain (and the other one) visible, I'd assumed they did, as I couldn't find anything in the rules that said they couldn't, then Gary had it happen in his game.

Gah #2!

CASTING ROLL MINIMUM
If a spell is successfully cast, but its final Casting Roll including empowerment is less than 14, treat the result as 14 instead. This is important for such things as resisting spells.

Would have made a difference in my game vs Tom (and probably others).

I didn't get this one wrong, mainly because it never came up in a game I was playing.

When carrying loot, a model is -1 Fight, so at a disadvantage when fighting or being shot, but as written they can still fire a bow etc without penalty. I know it never affected me as if one of my missile troops ended up with a treasure they were to busy running off the board to waste time shooting at anyone!

Slight biggie, that I know effected me in a couple of games - Invisibility is a Touch spell, it can't be cast from a distance.

Certainly the way I've always played it! It would be mad powerful if you could do it from a distance as you'd just turn all your guys invisible as soon as they picked up the treasure counters. Needing to risk your wizard getting right up close into the action is the cost you pay for that trick.

Always played as touch. That is why you start wizard next to thief.
