Non-rulebook soldiers

P.199 lists all the extra soldier types that have been released into the game in the various supplements.

Are we using them?
And if so, does everyone have access to them, or do any special rules need to be written up?
Or just stick to the normal soldiers from the main section of the rules?

Ask mainly for the Captain, but there are a few others that I might look at, but I don't mind either way, just want to be clear before deciding on warband.

I've not got any access so have no idea what they do leading to no idea if I want to use.

So I cannot input to that decision.

None of them are madly exciting, but maybe slightly better themes for more exotic models.

Certainly no balance issues in letting people use them if they want and have access to the rules.

If you’re lucky I might type up a list later.

I need to double-check for any differences (stats and costs) and check weapons, but should give people an idea of the extra ones.

Added a list of the soldiers in the supplements to the first post - be aware any soldier that has the 'special rules' box shaded either has rules we're not using (at the moment), or is only available via items we're not using (at the moment).

Trap Expert and Tunnel fighter - usable as is, but lose some special rules.
Collegium Porter, Demonic Servant, Rangifier and Werewolf - not available due to supplement specific items (unless we want to add them in somehow)?

Also added the full rules for Captains to the original post.

I like the idea of adding a Monk, Demon Hunter and Assassin to my warband later, so I vote for allowing them ;) , but happy to go with the majority view.

I figure if you have access to the rules then go for it. I'm fairly certain it's all just wider options rather than better ones.

Just as a note, if using the Captain rules ignore the line on the dagger that says it give +1 Fight when combined with a hand weapon, as this rule no longer exists.

Gah! I noticed the "Captain" file I uploaded was incorrect (missing p.1, had an extra page of a scenario), so I've deleted it and uploaded a correct version.

In case anyone (other than Dave) has taken one, a few things that changed from it's 1e printing to 2e:
1e Leather Armour = 2e Light Armour
1e Mail Armour = 2e Heavy Armour
1e 2-Handed Weapon = 2e 2-Handed weapon (uses 2 items slots)
1e Bow/Crossbow = 2e Bow/Crossbow AND Quiver (also uses a item slot)

So in 2e, a Captain with 2-H weapon, Bow and Light Armour would have no slots left for other items.
