Whoops! Can't even blame that one on username confusion.

It is amazing that theatrical verbalisation generates so much response and encourgament in others to check out something.

And for a general comment to lead to specifics. Nice to see some defence / offensive tactics with a bit of stealth on some of the participants.

Cards become sheets, lists become scrolls
Free range within points limit becomes stylised limited, stylised points becomes zero
Our moaning about too much death becomes a blood bath game, I play by rules becomes sing out loud for a bonus.
Three rules books replaced by one, a tome replaced by a leaflet.

Although not specifics could these changes herald a game which we wanted survivability within a campaign just become a slaughter fest. Did you see the comment about campaigners and how they would react.

Ronnie liked the new idea that was dramatically different but the new is and isn't. Comment from designer.
Will need D6 dice for game?

Details on the command dice are up on the blog now. Again I quite like them. Reducing the extra move to a single square will help reign back some of the silliness that would see my Plague swarms cover 3/4 of the battlefield in a single activation.

Just noticed some beta rules went up on Quirkworthy before Christmas.

From a quick scan it seems much streamlined. The whole blaze away/suppression mechanic seems to have been entirely binned for better or worse.

Campaign rules:

'Exploration and scavenging phase' with a nice big random table. I can see some liking that.

Looking forward to trying out the new rules. It certainly sounds like a lot of the issues we had have been addressed.
