Oathmark Fantasy Battles

Postby Dave » Mon Apr 27, 2020 1:15 pm

It is billed as a mass battle game but max unit sizes are “only” 20 models.

This guy has done a decent review https://zacgaming.wordpress.com/2020/04 ... -the-game/

And here’s a YouTube gameplay overview with the creator. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M3bYWL7I6Lw

Seems pretty ok, lack of factions at the moment but I understand that there are plans for more. Has some cross over with KoW with respect to model usage and it also has a campaign system.

They seem to be getting over the low model availability by removing good/bad and letting you take anything.

Yeah it seems that way. There is a supplement planned for additional units and a separate supplement for Undead armies so eventually you should able to field mono faction armies with a variety of units.

I know it is trying to be it’s own thing but having goblins and elves allied just doesn’t sit right with me!

Agreed, sometimes they can go just to far.

Managed to find out a bit more, the book has units in that they don’t currently have models for, certainly you can do an all human faction no problem (with cavalry, monsters, catapults etc)

Those elitist upstarts wouldn't be seen dead with them. Blue and green should never be seen unless there's something inbetween, in this case the deep red of the blood on the sacrificial altars.
