Malifaux scenery

Thinking through what we do and don't have in the club cupboard currently.

Buildings and walls we have loads, and often pretty fabulous looking. There are a few scatter crates and bits. Anything else, as far as I can see we seem to lack.

In order to make up postage I was going to throw in a few 60mm scenic bases to an order that make nice difficult terrain which will help.

We lack for obscuring terrain, but as small patches of woods would be a bit odd in our mainly urban Malifaux boards I'm not sure where to go there. Steaming floor grate? Sheets on a washing line?! Ideas for future projects but nothing quick and easy for now.

We could do the old flat templates representing fog/smoke but they look a bit rough on the table.

Is there a prettier way to represent fog / smoke?

And maybe we could make some sewer type stuff to represent difficult terrain?

You could do smoke by making a flat area with vents etc on it and having removable smoke plumes made from cotton wool or something? Kind of like how forests are done in games where scenery is more abstract.

I've got a bunch of fantasy style buildings, as yet unpainted of course, plus a bunch of crates. My limited understanding of steam punk fluff is fantasy meets steam engines.....

I would suggest the club needs to invest in more boards as well if we continue to grow as we have been.

We could definitely do with some 3x3 boards that are thick enough to only need one table. There's been a table shortage at times recently

From discussions after last weeks club (possibly breaking a info embargo!) this may be on the cards, I'm sure someone much more important than me will confirm :P

Looking at purchasing boards 4x4 with edging to make a 3x3 gaming area. I think about 5 was discussed. A brief discussion last Tuesday. Further confirmation required from Gary
