Making a start, some sub-assembly before spray and painting the cape of the Praetor.

If I say the building to painting effort ratio is 1:2, and the the fancy Praetor is twice the value of the rest of the marines, then by my system I'm 2.2% finished with the first 500 points! Not much more I can do until some more models or red paint arrive.

That cape looks awesome. How did you do the silver/gold trim?

2.2% more than yesterday.

Contrast earth tones (Skeleton Horde in this case) over metallic silver base paint give good golds/bronzes.

Yeah it works great.

What’s the plan for the red?

Skeleton Horde is such a great utility paint, one of my top 3 contrast paints!

Army Painter red spray, some kind of dark red wash or contrast in the joints and vents etc, pick out a few edge highlights in orangey red, job 80% done?

Sounds good.

I’ve had some success with Flesh tearers red contrast as a red wash over Mephiston red base, used it on my Goliaths.

Is it OK if I piggyback your post as I've been told off about progress shots and we are doing similar things?
