Ben paints some stuff sometimes

I treated myself to a copy of Blackstone Fortress as a housewarming gift to myself. Been following the Midwinter Minis speed painting tutorials, trying not to spend too long on any of them so I can get the whole set to a tabletop standard and play some fully painted games!
Really pleased with how some of them have come out (the beastmen, ghouls and drones), others not so much (guard and cultists). But it's been fun having a break from painting endless two colour 'nids and learning some new techniqies

Annoyingly, they were by far the easiest to paint. Just some zenethal priming, drybrushing and glazes. The ones that required some actual brush control are the ones that didnt come out as well!

I found that too. My ghuls looked like Spiderman cosplayers briefly though.

Halfway to having a painted Frostgrave warband, still need to do a couple of shields though. Will be running the orcs as thugs. Next up are a couple of hobbits which I will use as thieves, Aragorn will be demoted to apprentice and finally Shamdalf the Purple to lead the warband!

Nice work. I like the LoTR models a lot but the smaller scale is a bit frustrating, I still have loads of them though!

Lovely stuff. LotR figures for Frostgrave is a well established tradition.

Just got the wizard and some shields to do and my warband is done!
Didnt really have a suitable model for an apprentice so I used Aragorn and gave him some magic looking flames. The hobbits will be run as thieves.
