Didnt see the height in the first picture, looks effective. Cannot wait to lose against them some time.

More Kings of War. Loved painting these guys, although I might not be saying the same by the time I'm done with the other 8 from the army box!

Thanks :) I'm still playing around with contrast paints and working out what their strengths and weaknesses are. I think if you paint a whole model with them it will look a bit washed out, but they're good for quickly bashing out some base layers that you can build on with highlights and washes. Also they're a pain to fix mistakes with, which is why one of these guys has freckly arms!

That's why I haven't even considered trying them. I paint extremely messily getting all sorts of colours all over the areas I haven't got round to yet. Contrast seems like it would actually be more work for me.

Looks like the army is coming on nicely. Looking forward to a fully painted rematch when I'm back.

Had a play around with something a bit different today, was trying to go for a comic book kind of vibe. At some point I'd like to do a Genestealer Cult army in this style, or maybe I'll use it when I finally give in and splurge on the Warlord Judge Dredd game!
