No book yet. (I owe him another a Xmas present). He's like his dad and hasn't made up his mind if that's the force for him.
We're using battlescribe and goonhammer for most of the army rules stuff.

I believe you can now be tabled and still win if you get enough points early on.

After I went to work post game three, Ryan asked B if I would stop playing because he keeps beating me. :D :D  :D :D

Another catch up,

Game 4, Ryan felt sorry for me and let me play easy mode by bringing Genestealer Cults against my Children and I snuck in a Dreadnought, sorry meant Helbrute.

My first win, and Ryan took it well demanding a rematch instantly.

Which he then tweaked his list and beat me before my second turn. Will really need to start on those secondaries soon.

As we are using lots of proxies and the like I've only taken one picture for reference.

Games within games and at the start of game six we really couldn't decide who should be attacker or defender....

Game six and I decided to follow Ryan's approach with a bit of my own shock and awe attack, so leant heavily on the Raptors. He decided to take the Eldar, sorry again meant Aeldari Craftworlds.

A resounding win for me but apparently I missed a very important rule meaning null and void.

Leads to a rematch which I won again, Eldar are the weakest lists we played so far.

We also introduced the secondaries at last in these two, and my how they change the game. You really do need to tailor your list to them.

Unfortunately game 8 showed his other genetic trait. I rolled average and he rolled like a true ARBBL'er. A bit of a whitewash to me as his Thousand Sons met my terminators for the first time.

Though finally a picture of models in the model thread as he finishes a few things.

A spawn, a beastman champion and his first Rubric completed. I think they're looking good and very thematic.

My first completed 9th legal Chaos.

Now I've seen the new Orks, I may stay with these. (People used to comment about Space elves/dwarves/orcs back in the old days, but the latest Orks look straight out of AOS!)

Though it looks like they're heading for the shelf for when(if) the faction gets updated.
