Ok, if I'm going to magnetise this beast where is the best place to get some? Any guidelines for size and strength?

What the heck is that?
I would warn against magnets on models which are too large. My broadside was very difficult to magnetise with its rocket pods as they were just too heavy and so droop down, and I used substantial magnets too.

1cm x 3mm deep if I recall. I'll dig out the model to confirm.
