Gaming Aspirations Upon the Great Return

Postby Dave » Wed Jul 22, 2020 9:58 am

Hello everyone!

What are people looking to play once we are back at the club?

Has anyone picked up any new games whilst in lockdown?

Are we doing anything “special” for the first night back?

Cheers

I picked up Burrows and Badgers and 2 warbands for that. I also amassed enough 6mm 40k style bits to split into 2 forces for 40k Apocalypse.

If i complete it in time, i should have a new small force for 'combat patrol' games of 9th ed 40k too

I've also done a lot of 6mm stuff, so keen to play apocalypse and titanicus.

I should have new 40k stuff by the time I am back so small games of that to start with, maybe start a campaign with the crusade rules if they don't look terrible.

Always up for more kings of war.

Keen to get some Malifaux in, a bit of X-Wing and would like to try out TWD Call-to-Arms. And always up for some Hellboy where everyone can easily see what's going on!

Nothing to bring down on Tues night just yet. Jumped in on the Tiny Epic Pirates Kickstarter less than 24hrs before it shut. Looks really good, but won't be arriving until March 2021...

Malifaux, Necromunda and Frostgrave would probably be the top of the wishlist.

Frostgrave for me. Picked up a couple of quick card games as well, though i only managed to try one before the will to game died for me.
Also picked up Star Breach, which is a indie sci-fi game, miniature agnostic like Frostgrave, and a skirmish, but haven't read the rules yet (to many dinosaur books!).

Modelwise, even worse than normal! Got to the point where my close-up vision is going the way of my long vision, but need to get an appointment to get new (varifocal  ) glasses.
Send help - buried under my lead mountain!

Possible addition of Necromunda
Have enough proxy enforcer models and plenty of dead zone terrain that can be used.
Feeling nostalgic and need to play the original 4.

What would I require to get back into the game?

Main rule book has the rules.

Gangs of the underhive has gang lists (but not Enforcers), trading post, weapons/gear and skills.

Book of Judgement has Enforcer rules.

A set of the new dice (but plenty spare of those can be loaned/sold from our many collective base set box purchases).

All those books can be loaned while you try it out.
